Job Description

This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on technical work with project management responsibilities.

In the early stage, approximately 80 percent of your time will be spent on technical execution, primarily:

• WordPress website builds using Divi

• SEO implementation and optimization

The remaining 20 percent of your time will focus on project coordination and client management.

As Grapevine Media grows and the client base expands, this role is intentionally designed to shift gradually toward full-time project management, with less hands-on technical work over time. We will help you build your team below you, enabling you to manage a small team of designers and developers as our client base grows.

Eventually, for the right candidate, this role may evolve into:

• Project Manager

• Business Manager

• Junior Partner with profit sharing or equity opportunities

What You Will Do 

Website Design & Development

You will play a hands-on role in building and maintaining WordPress websites, with a strong focus on Divi. This is a core part of the role, especially in the early stages.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building WordPress websites using Divi based on defined scopes and layouts

• Customizing layouts, styles, and content to match brand guidelines

• Implementing responsive design and ensuring websites look great on all devices

• Making ongoing updates, improvements, and refinements to existing client sites

• Collaborating with internal documentation and SOPs to deliver consistent results

• Identifying opportunities to improve UX, performance, and clarity for end users

This role requires someone who is comfortable working inside WordPress day-to-day and can confidently execute website tasks without heavy oversight.

SEO

SEO is one of Grapevine Media’s core services. You do not need to be an expert in every aspect of SEO on day one, but you must either have a strong foundation or a strong desire to learn and grow in this area.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Keyword research using SEMrush and related tools

• On-page SEO implementation across websites and blog content

• Technical SEO basics such as site structure, indexing, and page optimization

• Supporting directory submissions, citations, and foundational off-page SEO tasks

• Reviewing SEO performance and implementing recommendations

• Following and improving SEO workflows and checklists

We have clear processes and training in place. The most important trait here is curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in how search engines work.

Project Management & Client Experience

As part of this hybrid role, you will also support and gradually take ownership of project management responsibilities. The primary goal is to ensure clients feel supported, informed, and confident in the progress of their projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a point of coordination between clients and the internal team

• Ensuring project timelines, tasks, and deliverables are clearly tracked

• Proactively communicating progress and next steps to clients

• Advocating for the client’s goals and expectations internally

• Helping clients understand timelines, dependencies, and any changes in scope

• Ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and aligns with agreed plans

Over time, this area of the role will grow in importance as you transition from hands-on execution into more leadership and coordination.

How This Role Evolves

This role is intentionally designed to evolve as Grapevine Media grows.

In the early stage, your focus will be primarily hands-on. You will spend most of your time working directly on website builds and SEO execution, while gradually taking on project coordination responsibilities. This ensures you have consistent, meaningful work while the agency continues to scale.

As our client base grows:

• You will spend less time executing technical tasks

• You will spend more time managing timelines, deliverables, and client communication

• We will help you build a team below you, allowing to begin overseeing other technicians and contractors as you hand over your work to them

• You will help improve systems, workflows, and internal processes as you see fit

For candidates who demonstrate strong ownership, leadership, and strategic thinking, there is a clear long-term path toward a Project Manager, Business Manager, or Junior Partner role. This may include profit sharing or equity discussions for the right person.

This is not a static role. It is designed for someone who wants to grow alongside the business.
